the best part is that its YOUR machine and kde gives you the freedom to set it up as you like. i would post a pic but there is not much to see i use a background w/ standard panel (except for smooth tasks instead of normal task manager) and the "obsidian coast" color theme.

I agree. the more I use Linux the more I want to change and tweak things to my liking. Knowing I can change whatever I want is awesome.

Like I said, I'm a minimalist. Everything autohides, except the two widgets you see on the screen.

that the clock in the top left of the image is approximately 87 pixels to the left and therefore NOT CENTERED!!!

How....ANYONE could post an image that has their clock up their ...ooops sorry..... NOT CENTERED is beyond me!!!

I mean...really!!!!

Adjust the clock's position and I .....might....be able to give it a thumbs up....

ok.....you can have it no more than 32 pixels off but NO MORE!!!!

It's a normal panel, I just shrunk it and made it fit the exact amount of items I have. As for the 'gem icon' that application is Emerald. Glad you like it

Yes, that is one of the reasons for the organization. It helps speed things along for myself, and the timer has proved invaluable numerous times, even if it doesn't look the best by itself there
