Upgrade to Kubuntu 10.10 Maverick Meerkat

My presently installed version is Lucid Lynx, 10.04.
How to upgrade to Maverick Meerkat? Using KPackages kit? Adept Manager?
In the previous versions, the kubuntu upgrade availability was notified (in adept manager but also in the system tray), now it doesn't. Perhaps apt mis-configuration?
