This is just fun question and not a criticism, but I normally run a live cd with no hard drive attached(IDE), especially with a Windows hd on the ide cable. Windows gets cranky on reboot.
But, I downloaded MM using the torrent. Burned it at "optimum" and 2.4x in K3B. The MD5 sum was verified. I verified the burn before the burn and it would not run as a live dvd.
Everything was there, the desktop, the plasmoids, you name it, and then it all just "recycled" through the whole thing again. I attempted this several times.
As a lark, I thought I'd attach the hd and here I am typing on the pretty blue desktop and posting box, this question.
So, I don't care, but if I was a new person trying this out and just happened to remove the hd, i might question whether the thing would run at all.
So...I'm just asking if anyone knows "why" this happens and it is not a criticism, the distro is very nice.
