Since the students quite often just want to leave me a message i have a throwaway account at Yahoo that i "clear" each semester so students can quickly leave me a message instead of having to click twenty screens to get to the colleges e-mail.
So....i thought i would install Pidgin.
It installed but then there were some really strange messages about not having line 100 end correctly or something.
And then it just collapsed.
could not even get to tty.
