First off, make sure your downloaded iso is not corrupted. Open terminal and goto folder where your iso located then run md5sum tool:
    Code:
    md5sum kubuntu-10.10-dvd-amd64.iso
MD5 hash for kubuntu-10.10-dvd-amd64.iso is: 0c2a409a8b7bb85d1efb3b69a71bfa14. If the hashes do not match, then your iso is corrupted.
