I keep trying to download ndiswrapper using both the software manager and konsole. Neither seem to work and both ask for the disk when I clearly have a direct line to internet. Anyone know how to fix this, you have 30 min. before I will be forced to switch to Linux Mint 9 KDE.

Why wait 30 minutes? I think you should go now.

Re: Won't let me get software from Internet.
I have a direct ethernet line connected, it works.
I'm not even using a disk, I installed using a USB Stick.
Do with with cake?
I typed apt-get install ndiswrapper-common.
I also tried to install manually by untaring ndis and installing it that way but it didn't work.

I sure hope Linux Mint works for him right away.
Anyway, I've got my own problems. I've been typing "apt-get install Windows" and it's not working. Mr Gates has 30 minutes to get it together or I'm staying with Kubuntu.

I can't believe Vinny actually tried to help at all. Personally - I vote we call him "Saint Vinny" from now on.
I saw the OP right after it was posted and had several comments in mind that I "filtered" successfully. Took me five minutes to come up with that first (fairly tame) response
