[solved] unable to remove old grub entries

I have triple boot ubuntu, kubuntu and linuxmint.
in ubuntu and mint i could remove the old grub entries (2.6.35.22) using ubuntu-tweak. and successfully removed the old kernel entries.

in kubuntu though, as suggested by few members.. i removed the old packages i.e.
    linux-headers-2.6.35-22 linux-headers-2.6.35-22-generic linux-image-2.6.35-22-generic.
    then did sudo update-grub
heck i even did sudo update-grub2 (i donno what it does :P )
but those old entries are refusing to get removed..

    suggestion please..

Re: unable to remove old grub entries

Have you perhaps lost track of which OS is controlling the boot menu? Running update-grub in kubuntu won't update it if the operational menu is in ubuntu. :P

      thanks dibl..
yeah.. linux mint was the latest distro i installed.
"sudo update-grub" in mint solved the problem..
