Mave Release is kind of worse than the RC

When I tried the beta and the RC versions of Mave I noticed that the quality increased but I can't say the same thing about the transition from the RC to the release. In RC I could already set the windows to force the maximum height and width dimensions or click on any icon of System Settings or on the system tray to see the hidden icons but in the release I can't do it any more, it just crashes and send me back to the login screen (if at SS) or rebuilds the desktop (if I clicked on the systray). My integrated video chip on this PC (a ProSavage8 KM266/KL266) works fine in LL but not in MM, it lets me set the screen resolution at any rate on LL but on MM it sends me back to the login screen.

BTW, the release ISO is smaller than the RC one... about 11 MiB smaller....

And yeah, the R ISO md5sum's match.

Just to give a different perspective, my upgrade from 10.04 to 10.10 was so smooth and seamless that at first I actually thought the upgrade didn't go through. I upgraded over the internet and didn't encounter a single problem from start to finish -- not even a minor one.
