I upgraded from Lucid to Maverick yesterday over the internet.
I have found the following improvements:
However, I am having a problem playing a full-screen video game named Heroes of Newerth.
Whenever I alt-tab in or out of the game the system hangs for about 5 seconds.
Another problem is that the screen flickers whenever another application needs to overlay information. An example of this is the volume control from kmix or the mail notification from Thunderbird email.
Neither one of these bugs occurred in Lucid. Does anyone else have these problems?
Can anyone recommend where I would start to gather information on the source so I can submit a bug report?

- UI seems snappier
- Pulseaudio gives much better control over the audio system; I can specify where audio output goes on a per-application basis.
