Stumped on this one.
The Kubuntu Notebook can read and write to every single share I have set up on the window machines.
However when I go to the Win7 computer and try to write to the public folder in my /home, I can read the files, but keep getting a "need permission" error whenever I try to write to the directory.
I verified in the properties/share that the tick for "Share this folder in the local network" and "Share with Samba" are checked.
also made the folder public, and writable.
Went into the "more samba options" and added myself as a user, still denied.
This used to work, so I know the hardware is fine. Recently reinstalled Kubuntu, so I figure I'm missing a setting somewhere.
Thanks!
