    [solved] Wireless network setup

I just installed Kubuntu 10.10, and I have a problem activating wlan. The network manager applet sees the wireless network I want to connect to, but if I click on it, nothing happens. Even if I set up the network in the network settings dialog, and select auto-connect on that network, it still doesn't connect.

I also tried installing the GNOME network manager, which I was using in previous versions, but if I try to start nm-applet, it says it is already running, which is obviously not the case.

Solved. I installed knetworkmanager, which removed the plasma widget, then after a few reboots, the problem seems to be fixed, knetworkmanager starts and connects to the configured network manager.
