[SOLVED!] - Mic doesn't work on Dell

Hey guys!

I am trying to make my Dell notebook's mic work on Kubuntu 10.10. I tried to do almost everything I found here. I removed pulseaudio, but it didn't work.
When I try to configure Kmix, I select
.
Settings -> Configure channels
.
But when I try to select any option and hit ok, the window just closes and nothing happens!
.
Can someone help me, please?

wile in Settings -> Configure channels on the left side are the available channels and the right side is visible channels ............you drag and drop a channel (or several) from the left to the right then click ok ........and the channel will now be in the mixer window.

+ you can type

alsamixer

in a terminal and get controls thar as well.

Wow! The about "drag and drop" was tricky!
.
I did alsamixer on Konsole, and set up mic and mic boost to the maximum, but it didn't work.
