Hi chaps
Ive moved my old machines 160GB IDE hard-drive into my new, Kubuntu machine. It is set as IDE Slave (theres a DVD writer as master). The Kubuntu drive is in SATA 0.
The machine keeps trying to boot into windows!. Ive set the boot order in BIOS so that the kubuntu drive is first, but no matter what position i try the 2nd drive in, it still trys to boot into windows instead of Kubuntu!
Im only in it now because i pulled the power plug out the drive!
Can anyone tell me a way of stopping this happening? It doesnt seem to be doable from the BIOS, and obviously if the drives powered it tries to boot it. Is this a case for a boot CD or USB stick etc?
I need to get this drive on as it contains all my files!
