Problem on Zbox graphic with i915

I've a simple question, I am running Maverick on a Zbox mini PC, with max resolution of 1360x768 on both VGA and HDMI, and my TV panel is capable up to 1280x720 on HDMI, and 1280x768 on VGA, but no matter how I change the display setting the boot up always fixed at 1024x768, I've to manually change it to 1360x768, since my panel does not support that mode, the system will automatically fall back to 1280x720 on HDMI, or 1280x768 on VGA, is there a way to have it set permanently ?

Search for posts regarding xrandr and how to set resolution at boot. Those older Intel graphics chips can be a PITA to get set right.
