    Minimising

I just installed kubuntu 10.10; I have an nvidia grapics card but i do not think that's my problem.
Heres my problem: when I minimize a window, regardless of what app it is, I cannot recall/find it in the menu panel and I have to restart what ever app I am running and when I do it is the same as starting from scratch again.A frustrating problem for sure. I do not want to return to windows, so somebody please help me and forgive this noob's ignorance

    Re: Minimising

Right-click on the Panel and select Panel Options > Add Widgets then type Task Manager. Then double-click on the Task Manager widget to add it to the Panel.

Yes, just like Windows uses a taskbar to show the programs open (or minimized), your main panel must have it. Once you add the "widget" taskbar you can resize to your preferences.
