support for broadcom and intell hm55

    Hi all

I'm planning to buy a new laptop I'm thinking of toshiba Satellite L630-16L And I would like to ask you how does the support for Intel® HM55 Express Chipset looks like in Mercat. I heard that Broadcom drivers were supposed to be included in new kernels Is that right? Will my kubuntu work on it?

    thanks for replies

    Hi....

    Welcome to the forums

You may (or may not) want to consider looking for another laptop depending upon how you feel about the information given here.

Concerning Broadcom, if the laptop has any of the wireless chipsets mentioned here, then it should be supported, either by the drivers offered on that site or available through Jockey (which would most likely be the easier of the two solutions.)

    Hope this helps...
