nvidia driver makes weird video effects

I see weird effects in YouTube videos, pieces of video in my Konsole, and even the font I am looking at right now while I am typing this is not clear...all broken up. Some kind of setting I need to change?

When I remove the nvidia driver, everything is OK, but I can't play Youtube videos, etc.

How to fine tune?

What graphics card are you using specifically and where did you obtain the driver for it? Also, what is the model and number of your system (if it's not a whitebox?)

If you need help getting the information for your graphics card, just type "lspci" in a terminal and post the results here.

I just used the standard nVidia driver that Jockey found for me.

Its a GeForce GT 220 video card on a AMD X2 5200 inside an Acer AM1100 computer.

Any suggestions on how to get rid of my weird video behavior?

What version was the driver that you installed through Jockey and was there more than one offered? While I'm not sure if it will help, you could try the latest version released last month, if it isn't the same one found in Jockey. If you're using a 64 bit version of Kubuntu, please go here.
