    Synaptics Touchpad: getting it working

    Hello Guys,

Im a linux beginner (besides being a professional .NET programmer on windows ) and have troble getting it running on my TM 8371.

The touchpad works but not multitouch, when i put more then 1 finger on it the mouse pointer flyies over the screen erraticly. Enabling MT-Scrolling via GUI doesnt work.

I've managed to setup using synclient (synclient EmulateTwoFingerMinW=5, synclient EmulateTwoFingerMinZ=48)
but this setup ereases every time i restart the machine. I've googled for methods but all the files suggested to edit to setup this seem not to exist on fresh kubuntu 10.10!

How do i make the driver setup itself correctly on the start?

My computer has the file /usr/lib/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-synaptics.conf and I don't even have a synaptics pad.

This might be a good place to start...
