    Bottom line is, that some of you with the 8xxx cards are just not able to get it working. I know this is not the answer you want, but new cards are dirt cheap out there right now. My GeForce 9500 works great.

      I've used Maverick since the beta release. It took me some time to make my 8800 to work. Newest drivers from X-Swat repo + newly generated xorg.conf = success. On the other hand I have fairly simple setup - no twin view, SLI or anything like that.

        Ok guys so i wanted to give my feedback ASAP so here it comes...somehow are good news...ans im sure we will have a work around on this topic sooner or later, so i did i fresh install of the Ubuntu 10.10 Macerick Merkat that i ordered with all the updates and more...and works perfect i have it for over a week already guys ans it works perfect...

        Here is a screenshot of the driver im using okey ^^

        Thanks to everyone....hope we get this fix in Kubuntu as soon as possible.
