    Internal Mic and Skype

    Just installed the Kubuntu 10.10.

In sound preferences, Capture Devices is Internal Audio Analog Stereo (unmuted, set to max). I then tried the "Make a test call" with Skype. I hear nothing back (when I should be listening to my recorded test message).

I have a Dell Latitude D520 and I want to use the internal mic. Can anyone explain how to go about this.

Install package pavucontrol and run it. Go to Input Devices tab and choose Microphone 1 or 2 (I had to change to Microphone 2 to make it work on my laptop).
