Minitube help...

Hi all...

I tried installing Minitube 0.9 today and nothing works. I receive an error message that says, "Error: The file or folder www.youtube.com does not exist." That's a little strange.

Does anyone know of a way to fix this? Let me know what you need for information.

Thanks Snowhog....

I was able to fix this by...

1. Installing the PPA from here and installing version 1.7.1 by running the commands shown.

2. Removing the package "phonon-backend-xine" as shown here.

After performing the last step, Phonon gives an error message about my sound chipset not being present every time I start the program but I still get sound and high quality at that!

I hope this helps someone else wanting to get Minitube working in Ubuntu/Kubuntu 10.04. I would encourage those who maintain the repositories to update Minitube to its current version as versions up to (but not including) 1.5 no longer work.
