    [solved] Clearing Adept Updater List

    I'm running Lucid with KDE3. Adept Updater tells me there are 3 updated packages available, but I can't upgrade them because doing so would break something (I haven't figured out what). Is there a way to clear those 3 packages from Adept's upgrade list so it won't notify me again until there really are new packages?

    Thanks

    Have you tried updating from the command line to see what errors or warnings may occur?

    Code:
    sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

      Thanks. I tried that, and it just said "3 packages have been held back".

      However, the 3 offending packages seem to have been removed from the list now. Perhaps something to do with the fact that new, real, working updates appeared in Adept? I don't really know what happened, but the problem seems to have gone away for now. Thank you for your suggestions.

        Glad to know your problem is resolved. I don't know why things get stuck like that sometimes. Usually they will clear up if you wait a few days or if you manually update from the command line.
