Since updating to 10.10, the cashew in the URH corner no longer gives me the possibility of zooming. What has happened? How can I add more desktops?

If I click on that, there is no "Pager settings", only "Activity bar settings", "Desktop options" and "Remove this activity bar". The "Desktop options" sub-menu contains no "Pager settings" either.
If I right-click on the URH cashew, I get the same thing as the "Desktop options".

the so-called ZUI (zooming bit) to view and configure Activities (not the same thing as Virtual Desktops) has been scrapped

Re: Plasma cashew changed in 10.10
Well, since doing a dist-upgrade to 2.6.35-27, the cashew has disappeared. However, I have a sort of "phantom" window which covers about the lower 95% of the screen and it has a tab labelled "General" which when clicked shows "Add panel", "Add widgets", etc.
Is Plasma changing so rapidly? Is there doc on this? And how do I get rid of that "phantom" window?
(I have another post on this under "Phantom window" at http://kubuntuforums.net/forums/inde...5021#msg255021.)
