    Python 3

    Hello,

I was a little surprised that the python version on my system was not 3.
    It is :

    Python 2.6.5 (r265:79063, Apr 16 2010, 13:57:41)
    [GCC 4.4.3] on linux2

Going to KPackageKit to upgrade there are so many python apps addins etc there it is overwhelming.

What is the name of the download I need to upgrade to python v3?

    Thanks

    Roy

    Re: Python 3

Well, you are running Kubuntu 10.04. Here, on my Kubuntu 10.10, python is version 2.6.6 (v2.6).
Windows no longer obstructs my view.
Using Kubuntu Linux since March 23, 2007.

The package name is python3, its a new version of python (not an upgrade). More info here: http://wiki.python.org/moin/Python2orPython3

        Cheers
