    [SOLVED]Java Plugin (JRE1.6.0_22) in Firefox - I can t acess to my Home folder

    After upgrade to Kubuntu 10.04, Java Plugin (1.6.0_22) on Firefox 3.6.13, don 't allow me select files in my home folder,
    to web upload.

    1. have you tried another browser?
    2. can you manually put the path in to one of those dialogs?

      Please run this command in terminal and post the output here.
      Code:
      apt-cache policy sun-java6-jre sun-java6-plugin
      update-java-alternatives -l
      java -version
      and goto http://www.java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml just to make sure whether your java is working or not.

        Thanks sithlord48 for your replay.

        1. Yes. Konqueror and Epiphany. Both browsers don't use certificates (my certificate), and it's necessary in my work.

        2. No. This Dialog don't have place to put manually the path for my home folder for files to attach.
        Only by mouse, you select the path. In previous version of Kubuntu (9.10), I have full access to
        select files and attach them in home folder.

              maybe opera will work w/ certificates? its pretty easy to install in *buntu. other then that i got nothing sorry

                Remove and install Java and Java Plug-in, and remove and install your Firefox.
                Reboot.
                This solved my problem. I don't know how, but I think it's replace
                my user permissions on kubuntu.
