    Re: kdesudo problem

I deleted the config files referred to that programs in /root/.kde/share/apps and /root/.kde/share/config also, logged out and in, but nothing changed.

I've noticed that the Gnome apps don't have such a problem. Gparted and Gufw opened normally through Alt+F2 kdesudo...

      Re: kdesudo problem

New try: I created a new user, and tried to run kdesudo from it.
      No success.

The problem must be somewhere in your root configuration - but I can't imagine where...

        Does dmesg show anything?

kdesudo (and sudo) will not work for the new user, unless that new user is in the Admin group

Ok, I did it, and it was able to use sudo, which always worked.
The "No success" I referred was to use kdesudo or gksu to launch KDE graphical apps as root.
