    [Solved :-[ ]Vmware payer: Never seen this before

    I had to reinstall my Lucid a few days ago (too much playing around).

    I have installed vmware player a zillion times but never came across this:
    I got the latest bundle from here:
    http://downloads.vmware.com/d/detail...QlJSpiZGVkZA==

    The installation went without issue.

    Starting vmware player from k->system does nothing.

    From terminal:
    fintan@fintanws2:~$ vmwareplayer
    vmwareplayer: Befehl nicht gefunden
    fintan@fintanws2:~$
    I tried reinstalling but the installer tells me the latest version is installed.

    The CLI command is vmplayer, not vmwareplayer.

    From the Linux command line, type <path>/vmplayer, where <path> is the appropriate path on your
    system to the VMware Player executable file. To run VMware Player process in the background, type
    <path>/vmplayer &.
