Is there any way to remove the little arrow for linked files and directories? Most of the directories in my home directory are linked from elsewhere and I'm wanting to remove the emblem on those specific icons. I've found plenty of articles online about how to do this in Gnome, but not KDE.

I can't find an option to turn this off - but if it really bugs you, somewhere in your current icon set is a file or files named link_overlay.png These are the graphic files laid over the regular icon. You could replace them with blank .png files.
