Hello peeps. I am a KDE newbie, having used Gnome until this week! ![Shocked](https://www.kubuntuforums.net/core/images/smilies/shocked.gif)
1. Fullscreen by default?
I'm running 10.04 Netbook, but I've downloaded the standard KDE environment. With the Netbook version, all of the applications are fullscreen by default, with a little tool on the panel to close the app if you want to. This is really useful if you have a netbook, as I do![Smiley](https://www.kubuntuforums.net/core/images/smilies/smiley.gif)
Now on the standard environment, I can't seem to achieve this. There must be a way of changing the defaults, but I can't find it..... I thought I had, in System>Look and Feel>Appearance>Windows........
2. Transparent widgets?
Also when I was using the Netbook environment, the widgets were transpaent. (e.g. the clock was a clock face, not a clock face within a semi-opaque square.) I liked that, and I can't now find a way to replicate it.
Many thanks to all those who might help!
Until then, Ahoy!
