Hello,
I am running Kubuntu 10.04 with kde 4.5, but I have had this problem since I am using Kubuntu with pulseaudio (I guess 9.04).
Wenn I boot my machine I have no sound at the login screen. This isn't so bad, but since I am using the PC as mpd server, I can't play any music as long as I am not logged in (or use alsa directly).
If I start the pulseaudio applet on my laptop I can see another Ubuntu machine (wich is used as a server) with gdm@machine-name, but there is nothing about my desktop kubuntu PC if there is no one logged in.
Is this a bug or can I start somehow pulseaudio as kdm user?
Thanks
