    system temperature

How to get system temperature measured on the desktop? What software should I have? Any additional drivers too?

    Re: system temperature

Install lm-sensors to get temperatures and ksensors (one rather old alternative but it works just fine) to display them.

      Re: system temperature

Right click on the desktop > Add Widgets > select "Hardware Temperature".

Then you can look at kde-look.org, there are plenty of alternatives:

Wow, thanks!!! I particularly like these three:

            http://kde-look.org/content/show.php...content=121205
            http://kde-look.org/content/show.php...content=111150

            All nice and simple.

Goes to show when I last tinkered with looky-feely stuff with my ksensors... Time to bury head in shame
