Very odd - I wonder about your cups setup?

Open a browser on both machines type "localhost:631" in the url bar and compare.

Unfortunately, I am not currently using kubuntu as my server so my output is different.

I have never been involved in configuring cups and in the brief search of localhost:631 I could not find anything of use. I will be going away from 1-15 September, so I will not be able to test ideas during this time. I am now starting to think that I should live with this problem and hope it is resolved when I install Kubuntu 10.10 in October. I always do a clean install and have my system with a separate home partition.

Thanks for all your help. It certainly gave me more insight into my system. It is unfortunate that 10.04 is not a good example of an LTS distribution.
