Even if I knew the answer a couple of months ago, it seems I was daydreaming or something because I can't find a single link to some ppa that could let me install it on my PC. Is it available for LL? What's the ppa or backport repository?

So it doesn't include mono or cil, that sounds great... It's a shame it does offer an optional mono package after all...Multibooting: Kubuntu Noble 24.04

Use official scribbler's ppa, Go OO is optimized OO but has no mono.

It's an even bigger shame that you can't have the database component without that Java disease, which is at least as ugly as mono >
Just good that I didn't need the database component so far.

Re: How do I get OpenOffice.org 3.2.1?
OK, I am baffled. I verified I have the backports repo enabled, my 10.04 system is dist-upgraded as of this minute, and my OOO is sitting solidly on 3.2.0:
Code:dibl@lucid:~$ uname -a Linux lucid 2.6.32-24-generic #41-Ubuntu SMP Thu Aug 19 01:38:40 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Code:dibl@lucid:~$ cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/kubuntu-ppa-backports-lucid.list deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-ppa/backports/ubuntu lucid main
Code:dibl@lucid:~$ sudo apt-cache policy openoffice.org openoffice.org: Installed: 1:3.2.0-7ubuntu4.1 Candidate: 1:3.2.0-7ubuntu4.1 Version table: *** 1:3.2.0-7ubuntu4.1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid-updates/universe Packages 500 http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid-security/universe Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 1:3.2.0-7ubuntu4 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ lucid/universe Packages
