screensaver shows desktop when password dialog appears

I just installed using Kubuntu 10.04. I'm using the blank screen saver with a password.

When the screensaver is engaged, and I move the mouse or hit a key the desktop is revealed and the password dialog appears. [Edit just to clarify, while you can see everything on the desktop you can only interact with the password dialog]

Obviously this is a security problem if I have sensitive info on the desktop and the screensaver reveals it to an unauthorized person.

Is there some way to prevent this?

Sorry to bump this, but it has been over two weeks and no one has made any comment.

Is there anyway to prevent the desktop from being displayed when the password dialog appears?

all I can say is I can NOT reproduce the problem.

I use the blank screen(black screen) and use the "lock screen" button on a desktop right click ......but I changed to a 1 minute timeout and 1 second password required when I read this ...and it stays black until a password is typed!
