    Dolphin crashes

So far Lucid Lynx has been terrific - so many of the issues on my "most annoying" list are fixed, and it's fast and tidy even on this aging HP laptop. however, I do seem to be having a lot of Dolphin crashes, usually just when doing something normal like opening a folder. Before I go sending in lots of bug reports, are there any known stability issues?

    Welcome to KFN.

It isn't possible to give a qualified answer to your question, as you have not provided any details that would make it possible to do so.

Running 10.04 32-bit on my rig, with KDE 4.4.5, all is fine. Dolphin is well behaved and performs all functions as it should.

You need to tell us more about your setup. We know you are running Lucid 10.04. We don't know what processor you are running. We don't know what version of KDE, and so, Dolphin, you are using. In short, we need details - please.

In the Kde 4.5 RC 2 Dolphin, there's a bug with the tooltips, making Dolphin crash sometimes when displaying tooltips. Simply disable tooltips until the final 4.5 comes out (which should be tomorrow on the 10th).
