I'm posting this partly because I think I have collected some neat tools over the last couple of month, and partly in the hope that others may contribute stuff that I have not found yet.
In the end I hope this thread will help new users to KDE-fy Firefox' look and feel.
So here are is what I have:
First of all, for general KDE/GTK+ integration, I'm using the Oxygene-Molecule package which can be downloaded here: http://kde-look.org/content/show.php...content=103741
Imho this theme has a better visual integration than the usually recommended qt-curve theme.
To get Dolphin in the file-picker dialog, install the package "kmozillahelper" from the standard repositories, I believe. (set the filepicker-variable in about:config in Firefox to default)
Now install the (relatively recent) Oxygene KDE theme for Firefox, and install the following add-ons:
Xclear (to clear the address line, like in other KDE apps)
PlasmaNotify (to redirect Firefox notifications to Plasma notifications)
Konquefox (gives you some more standard KDE buttons for your tool bar)
There is also a "KDE Wallet Password Integration" add-on, but it is a beta version and it did not work for me. If you can figure out how to make it work, please post! But a word of caution: when I tried it, it deleted all my saved passwords in Firefox! Fortunately I backed up everything before I started experimenting.
If you know some more packages, add-ons, themes etc. that make Firefox feel and look more like a true KDE app, please post!
One more thing: I'm using the unbranded version of Firefox, "A Browser" (in repos); the icon fits nicely into KDE.
Chopstick
P/S Admins feel free to move this post if you think it should be in a different category.
