    [solved] how to stop powersave?

    Hi, there,

I use Kubuntu 10.04, it turns to black screen when I did not do anything for a few minutes or watched DVD. I know to go to 'system setting' -> Advanced -> Power Management to change longer time, however, it did not have unable powersave! The menu lists "Powersave", "Performance", "Aggressive Powersave", "Xtreme Powersave", "Presentation". I changed time into longer, but it seems it does not work! How can I absolutely be unable it? Thanks!

I have assumed (but not tested) that "Presentation" mode was intended to prevent screen blanking.

i have been annoyied by this for a long time. i can't wait to try it when i get home. did u know joystick input don't count as input as far as the powersaver is conserned. so when playing a full screen game w/ a joystick i need to hit my mouse every 15 min or so ..
