Bug in Plasma-Desktop using Raster Graphics System. Any Ideas???

Hi im Using Kubuntu 10.04 with KDE 4.4.5.

Im testing Raster Graphics System on the "plasma-desktop" and it runs faster and more smoothly.

My Problem its when opening a a file from application using "Open With" from "right click menu" on the plasma desktop
"Opening a text file with Kate from right click menu for example".

The Plasma Desktop Wallpaper goes white and the icons disappeared.
I found various ways to make the plasma look fine after that problem, for example opening "Pager Settings" from the "Plasma Task Bar" Click Defaults and then Apply.


Test it for your self:
Commands:
alt+F2
kquitapp plasma-desktop
alt-F2
plasma-desktop -graphicssystem raster.

and then open any file with any application using right click menu.


I know the "-graphicssystem raster" its experimental... But i guest it should be improved .
They should make Plasma Desktop work better with raster graphics engine.

i use -graphicssystem raster with dolphin, it makes dolphin open faster i havent seen any problems with except with plasma-desktop.



Any Ideas for a work around?

Interesting option. I'm playing with it a little but haven't experienced the crash yet. Switched from Desktop to Folder View and opened txt with kate a few times. Look forward to others reports.

I Know but try using Click Menu "Right Click menu" -> Open With -> and choose any application for example KATE.... Doit from the plasma desktop, dont doit using dolphin or something.

My background goes all white and icons and widgets disappeared.
