    Services don't start at boot

    Hi all,

My problem is that services, like apache2, don't start at boot time.

I have tried a lot of things, including this: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1393573
    but no luck.
BUM says that the services are enabled, but not started. Altering the settings does not seem to change anything either.

Starting the services manually, either from /etc/init.d or via service goes fine.

How can I find out what's (not) going on?
Any tips on resolving the issue will be appreciated.

I run LL 32bit on an Intel Pentium4 machine.

    best regards
    Niaro
