Hi,
I've recently started using the aTunes audio player/manager which is a Java application. When I click on a link in aTunes it opens Firefox, not that this is a major problem but Opera is set as my system default browser.
It seems that Java has its own default browser setting and sure enough in the Sun Java 6 Plugin Control Panel I found this configured for Firefox. I changed this to point at Opera but it has made no difference.
Thing is I have both Sun Java and OpenJDK installed on my system and at the moment OpenJDK is set as the default (which probably explains why changing the default browser in the Sun Java Control Panel made no difference).
My questions are:
- is there an equivalent control panel for OpenJDK or failing that a config file which I can edit?
or
- would I be better off switching my default Java to Sun Java, or is there a good reason for not doing this?
Thanks
Nick
