How do I stop Open Office from formatting numbers? [RESOLVED]

Open Office is driving me crazy. Every time I enter something like "5-6" in a table, it changes it to 03/05/10. I do NOT want it to decide what I want. I want it to accept whatever I type and treat everything as unformatted text. HOW?

Right click on one of the cells in the table and uncheck number recognition.
