Hey all..Does any 1 know how to turn on the blur effect kubuntu 10.4 in kwin the option is not there..

It is planned for KDE 4.5, currently in beta stage. You can't get in in the 4.4.x series.

Oh ok that that explains few things...Y i cant find it...But i have seen some people using it on you tube..Do they compile it some how...

You can install KDE 4.5 beta 1 from the Kubuntu Experimental PPA. It's quite stable, have only had 2 plasma crashes, and I've been using it for a week now. Everything works, except for Kontact, which is postponed for 4.5.0 (you'll have to wait for 4.5.1 to use Kontact again, I miss you Kontact) and plasma-widget-smooth-tasks doesn't work since it isn't yet compatible with KDE 4.5

Don't want to hijack but the update a few days ago fixed Konact.

@Fintan: Kontact still isn't fixed here

Edit: Works again. Installing libkontactinterface4 and libakonadi-contact4 fixed it. Need to report it though 'cause they should get installed along with the upgrade.

Installing libkontactinterface4 and libakonadi-contact4 fixed it.

Yep, that is what I would have suggested next.
