With Kubuntu Skype is not detecting my mic please help!!!

Have you checked the Skype Options and tried the different inputs?
Is your mic working with other applications?

Can you tell a bit more about your hardware?

Which computer are you using? If you know the chipset of your computer that will help.

Is your mic external or internal?

Also do you have mic and mic booster activated in kmix?

kmix: click on kmix in systray->mixer->settings->channel setup (or similar, mine is in german)
