flash player sound problem?

    flash player sound problem?

    i installed kubuntu netbook 9.10, upgraded to 10.04 then installed flash player, i have no sound in any videos, i have system sounds, but no sounds from anything, games, videos, movies, you name it no sound, so i think it might be flash, but who knows, if someone could help that would be great.

    Dell mini 9, 8GB SSD, Kubuntu netbook 10.04LTS, sound card: Intel HD PCI

    Flash is a plugin for firefox. Rite click on your sound mixer and check the volume levels, especially master sound control.

      master volume is at max, so i have no clue why i have no sound.

        Try system setting, multimedia, rite click and test sound.

          Check mixer again and see if PCM is turned up.

          Otherwise, it might be PulseAudio causing the problems. If PCM doesn't help or is already at full, try removing PulseAudio.

            Had the same issue yesterday and was going nuts, the catch was having system sounds working perfectly: If you have sound when starting kubuntu sound is working.

            Checked mixer and PCM was turned all the way down, adjusting solved it.
