I just read an article in the International Herald Tribune (or NY Times)
http://gadgetwise.blogs.nytimes.com/...ref=technology
which states that
"Older versions of Ubuntu Linux used to include a more complex image-editing program, GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program), but the software has been dropped from Ubuntu 10.04 LTS."
Is this true? (My installation of 10.04 did install Gimp.) If so, does it imply something ominous for the future of Gimp? Yikes, without Gimp, I would be obliged to return to (gasp!) Windoze. Oh, no.........!
