Don't know if I should ask this here, but I installed BOINC through Synaptic, but nothing happens when I try to add a project. I've got BOINC in Win 7 too, and when I did that there, I got a list. However, I don't mind if I have to type in an url or anything in Linux, I just want to be ABLE to add a project.

I'm IN BOINC-manager but when I select 'Add Project' nothing happens. Also, BOINC apparently can't contact 'localhost'.Comment

Tried some things through the CLI, and I think I found the culprit: 'localhost'. However, as to why The Linux-flavour or BOINC can't find it and the Win 7-flavour can, is a mystery to me. How can I point the Linux-flavour in the right direction?Comment
