Acrobat Reader showing strange characters in print window

    Dear all,

    I have this problem.

Basically when I try to print something using Adobe Acrobat Reader I'm getting strange characters near the settings. I just noticed that it is not restricted to the print window, but the same problem happens in the about page. I'm running Adobe Acrobat Reader 8.0 on Kubuntu 10.4. I believe this problem materialised after my upgrade to 10.4, which most probably installed Acrobat 8.0 (as before I used an older version).

I hope someone can help to fix this. I'm posting a screenshot.

    Thanks beforehand,
    Ederico.

You're using the proprietary Adobe Acrobate Reader for Linux? Any reason you aren't using Okular?

No reason in particular, I prefer Acrobat Reader as I'm used to that.

Okular is installed by default (IIRC). Have you tried a comparison? Open the same document in both applications? Does the problem present in both?
