    Can't get Helixplayer to install

    Hi,
    I'm trying to install the Helix player through the system settings and add/remove software facility. When I do I get an error as follows;

    Error Type:
    Error Value: E:I wasn't able to locate file for the helix-player package. This might mean you need to manually fix this package.

    Re: Can't get Helixplayer to install

    First, don't use that facitity to install apps. Use KPackageKit and install Synaptic. Then start using it, and stop using KPackageKit.

    Yes, I love KDE, and Synaptic is Gnome-centric. So what. Synaptic just works. It is a far superior package manger than what is being provided with Lucid 10.04.

    With Synaptic installed, see if Helix is available for installation and install it that way.
    Windows no longer obstructs my view.
