Can not Sync with my HTC

Hi guys!
I'm a total newbie of Kubuntu. I recently installed Lucid Lynx and found it great... except that I can not sync my HTC mobile!!!

I tried everything. Installed a lot of addson like:
multisync-tools
multisync0.90
opensync-module-python
opensync-plugin-evolution
opensync-plugin-google-calendar
opensync-plugin-synce
python-opensync
synce-gnomevfs
synce-gvfs
synce-hal
synce-multisync-plugin
synce-sync-engine
synce-trayicon

I also tried to do it via text comands, set up the partnership, created a group, added the two plugins for Evolution and Opensync and tried to sync. The answer is always the same:
--The sync failed: Unable to read from one of the members
--DEBUG:SynCE:finalize() called
--Error while synchronizing: Unable to read from one of the members

I understand that the problem is with the opensync plugin, because the evolution plugin seems to work fine. Does anybody knows how to get around it?
Anybody can sync with windows mobile devices at all

pls help because right now I am back to my windows7 old dog...

I never had any problem. I can even use internet on my mobile while it's connected with my desktop.

I tried that as well. Everything seems to work fine till the very last command: msynctool --sync synce-sync
then the system tells it can not actually sync.

two questions:
1) the post says it is for Hardi, Intrepid, Jaunty, NOT for Lucid. Has anybody tested the procedure in Lucid?
2) there is a big waring:
Important note: When you have enabled KDE4 PPA's in ubuntu, there is a big chance things will not work for you with opensync part for the actual syncing. The reason for this is that in those repositories, KDE4 depends on an experimental version of opensync which is not backwards compatible.
If this is the problem, can I disable this

Hi,
I tried it with Lucid and my phone is HTC HD2.

opensync.py for Lucid has to be replaced because the one installed has some bug. Download the patched one and replaced it with one present in
/usr/share/pyshared

Hi Emilio,
Did you replace the Python script file from the link I mentioned. Because I got the same error and that patched file solved my problem.
