Thunderbird Mail Notification

Now that KDE 4.0 is out there is a built-in notification system on the tray which Kopete uses to display notifications.

I was hoping to find a way to get Thunderbird to use it. I figure it will require a new extension to Thunderbird. Gnome already appears to have one here: "https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thu...3-8801d39b3e22"

Any thoughts / recommendations?

+1 I Desperately need the new mail tray icon which stopped working after the upgrade to Kubuntu 10.04 / KDE 4.4.2 / Thunderbird 3.0.4. Moztraybiff supports 2.0 only and is too heavy a package, Thunderbird biff appears to be Window$ oriented and does nothing.
